In December of 2014, I conducted a tattoo experiment.

This happened after years of curiosity and months of research regarding safety and procedure.

I got the help of a phlebotomist so that I could tattoo my client with their own blood.

My hypothesis was this : using a person's own blood as tattoo ink will leave a temporary tattoo that will bruise and reabsorb into the body, eventually disappearing completely. This is an idea that I borrowed from BMEzine, found in an article that has since been deleted.

Day 2

Day 3

After a full three week healing cycle, the design was almost entirely gone. Hypothesis confirmed!

and mention your interest in this project. I am looking for interesting concepts to combine with this process.
